Our last destination and also the best scenic coast was in Shihtiping, Hualien County. This is one of the ‘must’ tour destination aside from Taroko National Park along the East Coast of Hualien.

Shihtiping (石梯坪) has the similar view like Seven Star Lake but it has greater wave splash and stronger wind from the Pacific Ocean

Personally I love both Shihtiping and Seven Star Lake and I recommend you to visit both of them in Hualien County.

Staying around Shihtiping will be more expensive as their homestay cost around 1800NTD for 2 person in weekday.

As for weekend, you need to pay up to 2800NTD for the accommodation to enjoy the wave song at night.

Best Spot In Hualien East Coast

The shore line at Shihtiping which is situated 65 kilometer point from Hualien City makes it difficult to visit via public transport.

Thanks to our Hualien Driver for his speedy drifting skills, we manage to reach Shihtiping before the sunset

The sound of wave and wind will be the only voice that break the silence of the night in Shihtiping.

Another special thing about Shihtiping was the rock area has strong wave splash hitting on it every 15 seconds.

According to our driver Mr.Lee, there is also a campground available for visitors who want to spend the night in camp fire.

But it is not wise to set any camp during the tropical typhoon season in Taiwan

Two thumbs up for Shihtiping and there’s no words to describe its natural beauty.

I am willing to be a fisherman in Shihtiping for the rest of my life

There’s no lamp light on the road and we can feel the Pacific Ocean in dark during our way back from Shihtiping. Magnificent experience

Shihtiping, our final mark in Hualien tour and we are set to leave in the next morning to Taipei. Woohoo!
