Rawa Island Malaysia

  • By on October 19, 2008 | 17 Comments

Some people said Rawa island is better than Redang and Lang Tengah island, I said it is the best island in West Malaysia. Just around half an hour mini ferry ride from Mersing jetty (Johor, Malaysia), you will reach to this beautiful island with smooth sand and crystal clear water.

    Pulau Rawa Resort Location

Search Pulau Rawa from Google Maps 🙂

Recommendation: – If you are working on budget trip, you may plan to stay on the hut  (rumah atap) next to the beach restaurant. The hut was just 20 steps away from the beach sea.

Sands everywhere and is white, smooth and silky. Feels good to step on it

One word says it all, paradise island in Malaysia. The sea water was just crystal clear, let’s hope we preserve it on each time visit.

During the 2 night stay, we just love to sleep outside, feeling the sea breeze while watching the star at night.

If you were lucky, you will able to see meteor rain ya 🙂

Even dog will be swimming everyday, it really seems to enjoy sea water. Cool!

Later it caught up with us to join the sunbath. Beach dog is just too tame, can I take it home?

Just because we feel relax and lighter, we tried to jump to test whether we can defy the gravity or not but it fails. Some beach boy and beach girl look on us and offer to give a try for this beach jump again 🙂

Thus we JUMP again but we land on softly onto sand again.

This only freaks out the dog, poor thing.

Some of us dream to be perma-vacationer, let’s hope the dream comes true one day 😀

    Snaps a group photo 🙂

And it becomes our memory in the end. Another great beach story to tell 🙂

P.S – Thanks Swee Heng and Ling Ling who took and made the best shot around 🙂

That time I went there for 3D 2N, 4-5 person lump into one small hut. Total spending was around RM300+ per person, quite dai lor.

Most of the people went there relax, reading book under coconut tree, snorkeling and shark watching (shark child ya). Rawa island is not commercialize yet (let’s hope not), so there’s not much water sport activity over there.

Guess what, is just 20 minutes away from Tioman island. There’s boat transfer from Rawa to Tioman, you may want to check with the local on the schedule. Maybe you can go spend one day in Tioman island, and make it 4D 3N 🙂

Haan, I heard you can do scuba diving in Rawa island. But I didn’t see anyone wearing diving suit that time.

I just snorkel around the island and the water was quite crystal clear 😀

Let me know if you interested and I can give you the phone number for booking. The rate is RM180 per night for 2 person and any additional person will be charge RM40 each, with 5 person the max stay in one chalet.

My honeymoon to Rawa Island, supposed under Alang Resort. We are very unhappy and angry over the service and attitude of their management. What a bad service and ugly management. We have made an arrangment with the management about our arrival at the Mersing Jetty on the 30th May 2010, the moment we reached there,we were told that the entire resort electricity was blackout due to generator set failure and he promise he will call us back in a couple of minutes. We been waiting for the calls since evening 5.30p.m till 6p.m and we decided to call again. This time,no one pick up the calls,i tried to contact the other person in charge, same thing no one pick up the calls. Despite making so many calls, they didn’t even respond to our calls and we end up stranded at Mersing Jetty till the next day. I tried to call them again in the next monring, and yet they still don’t pick up the calls!!!!They never even attend and just ignore us!!!!Suppose this is my sweet honeymoon to Rawa Island with my newly married wife but all was screwed up at the end!!!!! Rawa Safari Management people were kind enough to ask us any help they can offer after seeing us waiting for so long at the Jetty for a boat. Some of the local transport drivers also claims that this incident has been happended for so many times not only me. All got frusfrated and end up engage with Rawa Safari Resort although is much more expensive at least they are reliable and efficient. So, to all the travellers that want to travel to Rawa Island under this Alang Resort (Not Rawa Safari), please becareful especially when you are paying deposit to this Alang Resort.

@Amir You can refer their contact in their website alangsrawa.com. Previously I jotted down their price is around RM165-200 for 2 person per night in Rawa Island Accommodation Package

But looks like they updated their package price in their website. It’s better you give a call and double confirm the price with them 😀
