Hualien County Driver

  • By on November 2, 2009 | 26 Comments

If you are going to Hualien County (花莲) in Taiwan and looking for a driver to bring you around the county, then I advise you to hire Mr. Lee as the best among all.

You have the chance to sit inside a comfy Toyota Altis which can fits in 4 passenger at least 🙂

    Hire Hualien City Driver

The rate is NTD 2400 for Mr. Lee to bring us to Seven Star Lake (七星潭) – Qingshui Cliff (清水断崖) – Taroko National Park (太鲁阁) for the first day.

As for the second day, we went to Liyu Lake (鲤鱼潭) – Shou Feng Zhen Feng Ping Chun (寿丰镇丰坪村) – Shin Kong Chao Feng Ranch & Resort (新光兆丰农场) – Lin Tian Shan (林田山) – Shihtiping (石梯坪) which was longer distance from point to point and the rate is NTD 3500.

Tips here is you can try to negotiate with Mr. Lee on the second day rate, who knows you can get cheaper rate like NTD 2500-3000 😉

The hiring rules is you can only sit in the car for 8 hours a day, no joke.

But Mr. Lee is real good fella, he drive for us for 11 hour in the first and the following day with no extra charge 😉

This is Mr. Lee and I super duper highly recommend him as your driver. He speaks good Mandarin and Taiwan language and explain lots of story you never know.

I should say he is not only driver but a tour guide as well. He as the local people of Hualien know the rest of the history of the town 🙂

Not only he is honest, but he is generous too when offering Pomelo to us for free onion-good

Don’t be shock to see his car boot was fully stored with Pomelo and he got no problem in treating you all the citrus fruit onion-shock

The drift action picture you seeing right now is on the way to Shihtiping (石梯坪) using the Dong Hai An (东海岸) sea route.

Mr. Lee real dedicated in driving us to the best spot in Hualien, Shihtiping (石梯坪) on time before the sunset.

You will realize he is another Takumi Fujiwara (藤原拓海) with good driving skills on the mountain S curve road especially in Taroko National Park (太鲁阁).

Feeling the good breeze along the drift and rest assured with Mr. Lee’s real steady driving skills 😉

Call and book him now if you are going to Hualien (花莲) tomorrow 😀

    计程车 (李福来)

For those going to Hualien County (花莲), hope you enjoy the breeze along the ocean sea route of Dong Hai An (东海岸) 🙂

Super like this blog! It tells me almost everything I wanted to know about Hualien! Thanks for sharing all the updates 🙂

I am a Singaporean. Will only reach Taipei Taoyuan airport at 2 plus pm on 4 May. And decide to head straight to Hualien. Understand that the trip will take 2.5hours via the express train. If not, any recommendations? (Fast+not so ex) Hence I will only reach Hualian station at late night I think. Will someone be there to fetch us to the MingSu?

Secondly, I only gng there for 2 night and 1 day. So the first night is to stay. 1 day for Mr Lee’s tour and another night to slp again.

I have emailed Ah Jie. But not sure how long she will reply me? 😡 I emailed her all in Eng, isit ok?
