Bukit Apek @Bukit Batu Puteh Hiking
Bukit Apek or known as Bukit Batu Puteh was one of my hiking destination on last weekend after Broga Hill
Bukit Apek was already famous for quite some times and my brother always ask me to join them to climb this hill since last year though

Bukit Apek Location
Bukit Apek was located in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur and I just try my best to remember the rout ebecause I just follow someone’s car and not familiar with Cheras.
If you are coming from Klang direction, take a right turn heading to Cheras as you passing by Midvalley.
Go straight until you see Plaza Phoenix on your right hand side and Petronas petrol station was on your left.
After this part I remember that you need to make a left turn into Taman Cuepacs and the entrance of the Bukit Apek was near EconSave.
Get a map before you plan to drive there, it will make life easier

Bukit Apek Hiking Tips
We are heading towards the entrance of Bukit Apek, which was just nearby a housing area.
I have asked the local people over there, approximately there will be thousands climber that comes during the weekend.
So when you plan to climb during weekend, choose your time wisely to avoid any overcrowded group in hiking path.
And make sure you bring sufficient water if you plan to head to the summit of Bukit Apek, 1.5 liter should be your choice.
Wear good hiking shoes cause’ it can be quite muddy and slippery and a pair of good trekking poles will help to prevent knee injuries.

Bukit Apek Hiking Route Information
1. Entrance to Station 5 - estimation time 35 mins (fast) to 1.5 hours (slow)
2. Station 5 to Waterfall - estimation time 30 mins walking
3. Station 5 to Bukit Apek summit – estimation time 30 mins or more
4. Bukit Apek summit to Taman Saga exit downhill – estimation time 30 mins or more

Well, I have climb Mount Kinabalu several times and I certified Bukit Apek as the good training location before you go climb Mount Kinabalu

It’s even tougher than Bukit Gasing with average climbing time 2.5 hrs – 3 hrs, so prepare your water

The air was fresh and you won’t feel any hot as there’s a lot of trees shading you from sunlight.

Our hiking group just reach Station 3 and there’s few who reach Station 5 with 2.5 hours journey time

I reach Station 3 and decide not to pursue futher to Station 5 due to insufficient water supply and the morning ‘dim sum’ was still in my digestion system

When we descend down the Bukit Apek, there is one stall selling foods like Nasi Lemak and Mee Hoon plus some herbal tea.
I re-energized back and plan to come back to Bukit Apek…next year
