  • Let’s take a ride to Long Shan Temple in Taipei. Known as Mengjia, it is famous as one of the oldest temple in Taiwan and lots of local people will go to worship Guanshiyin Buddha and other divine spirits.

How to go to Menjia Long Shan Temple? Easy, just take a MRT in any Taipei subway station and stop in Long Shan Station ;)

Don’t be surprise, I classified Taipei MRT as one of the most tidy subway in the world.

If you don’t know Chinese Mandarin, no worry because there’s lots of English translation on direction board in Taipei city.

Local people is the best GPS ever. Ask for their direction help if you are lost in the middle of Taipei or looking for Braised Pork Belly Snack :)

Here we go, stopping in the Long Shan station after switching one of the MRT transit line.

Standing in front of Mengjia Long Shan, we see this famous temple has the design of palace architecture.

The thing that impressed me was the electronic billboard attached to the temple’s gate for words of introduction :)

Remember to plan for an hour stop in Long Shan temple visit.

Long Shan houses hundred of Buddhist, Taoist, Confucian statues and sculptures inside as you circle around the temple.
