Do you know who is Hanamichi Sakuragi? He is one of the main character in Slam Dunk and catch the eyes of all comic fans around the world

Slam Dunk was very popular and I read the comic starting in Form 1 where the others  still reading Dragonball Z

I love the character spirit of Hanamichi Sakuragi especially in snatching the rebound in the basketball

His character has huge impact on me where I believe we need to learn everything starting from basic

There’s no shortcut in learning things, “Just Do It” was the word that moves me whenever I dribble, pass, shoot and rebound

I have the very best game of my life back to my University time in Sabah at year 2001.

You might wonder why 4 fellas in a team?

We play on 3 on 3 tournament so we have 3 player and 1 substitute in rotation

If you ask me what happen in the end of the final game, I still remember the action as I remember the story of Hanamichi Sakuragi in the comic

I was the Power Forward like Hanamichi Sakuragi at that time and one of my job was to snatch the rebound.

We were down with 3 points in that game versus senior team and time is running out, do something Sakuragi…

My opponent guard was quite big in size and experience senior in the University, but I give no damn about it when taking the rebound

I passed to one of my team mate standing behind the 3 point line, and he take the shot~~~SWISH

Yessss…the crowd cheers for the draw in last second and the senior team couldn’t believe it

But just like what is the end of the Slam Dunk comic, we lost by point lead in the Over Time

Though our team ends the tournament as the runner up, but we just feel very happy in the end of the day

I love this shot, feels very happy when look back at this picture each time.

Everyone just play great, good game good game

When I look back at these pictures, feel funny to see my hair style was kinda look like Hanamichi Sakuragi.

And my body size back then was half of my current body size

Guess I need to burn and sweat again
