The adventures in Ho Chi Minh will kick off with the introduction of Quan An Ngon restaurant. The actual name of the restaurant is Nga Hang Ngon and it’s recommended by Lonely Planet for terrific food.
Let’s check it out how great the food is, shall we? The place looks incredibly busy with the presence of locals as well as expats and we were lucky to get a table within minutes.
Vietnamese Cuisine In Nga Hang Ngon
Let’s take a few sips of the fresh coconut water before placing orders. You will need this badly to cool off your body under the hot weather in Ho Chi Minh
Here comes Pho Bo Tai, the noodle soup with rare beef at the price tag of 45,000 VND. The taste is above average credit to the fresh bean sprouts and rare beef
The name of this dish is a little bit longer, Banh Hoi Thit Heo Quay Cuon Banh Trang for 120,000 VND.
We have rice vermicelli, roasted pork, rice papers and vegetables on the table. Let’s get started to make our own Vietnamese Rice Paper Roll just like in the picture.
I am pretty sure you will feel uneasy at the first bite on the rice paper. But just go on, the great taste lies ahead
Ha Cao which is similar to Chinese Dumpling for 40,000 VND. We ordered the same plate twice for double satisfaction.
The food quality in Quan An Ngon restaurant is above average and so is the bill
Next up, I will introduce one of the best restaurant in Ho Chi Minh with the name of Cuc Gach Quan. Stay tune~
