Penang Special Local Food
Penang was not just famous with Char Kuey Teow but it has other local specialty food as well

One of it was Penang Lobak. Yes, just call it Penang Lobak or Penang Loh Bak or whatever you can imagine.
We have this plate of Penang Lobak in Kheng Pin near George Town.
Bear in mind, you will be auto charge RM0.30 if you didn’t order drink in this restaurant. So thirsty or not, just order one drink k

Penang Lobak, the one I love the most was the squid taste Lobak

And the Lobak Sweet Sauce, it was sticky like honey but it wasn’t too sweet or too plain neither

I can’t missed this Char Popiah & Tofu out from Penang Local Specialty food. You can have this Char Popiah & Tofu on the wet market near Kek Lok Si.
We order this when we were eating the Penang Kek Lok Si Asam Laksa

The special on this Char Popiah & Tofu was…just the Tofu was nice

The tofu skin crust was just crispy and thin, followed by the inner smooth texture. Yummy…I felt like a smooth tofu now

At night, we went to Penang New Lane street which was near to Sunway hotel. There was lots of hawker stall, and after all the food we tasted…my mind just came across of another 2 Penang Local Specialty food.
Salted Fish Tofu, which was fried based cube with mixture of tofu and salted fish

The smooth texture of these tofu cube was just the same as Char Popiah & Tofu, but it has more salty taste

Apong Telur or Telor was discovered in one of Penang New Lane hawker stall. The taste was very excellent when you eat this in hot

When you start to eat this Apong Telor, you will feel like you are squeezing the yellow egg from the thin crust. Mmmm…nice nice

Our food hunt for Penang Local Specialty food ended, but there was other place that we miss the hunt due to timing matter. So one day I will back to Penang to resume the food hunt again
