Kopi Luwak or Civet Coffee is made from the raw beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet. The raw beans will pass through the digestive system of these little mammals who live in the trees and come out as Poo-Poo (shit).
The Kopi Luwak farmer will collect the coffee beans from the forest floor and proceed to the cleaning and roasting process.
The special kind of ‘processing’ by the Civet lets Kopi Luwak emerge as one of famous coffee in the world.
