@johnnie Yeah, I tried that one before and I love the roti bakar. Haha…I rarely tried half boiled egg nowadays. Eng Ann is still crowded as usual in the morning, and lots of folks love to have breakfast and read newspaper there

I never tried in the Emporium Makan but the blog about Wantan Mee was in the Meru near Maybank there, love the wantan

This week needs to work, long time no hike liao. Will start active again next month..haha. See you

thanks for the quick response. nice to meet you here.
have you try the kopitiam at Eng Ann (can’t remember the shop name) it’s opposite the primary school. the place is usually packed and parking is a problem. but they serve good roti bakar and oh yes the half boil is excellent as well.
wah chai’s wan tan mee is nice, but not as nice like their parent’s time when they were still at the emporium makan stall. the one in meru near the maybank is not bad as well. have you try that one.?
I see you hike too. hope to bump into you sometimes. I will be going to saga hill again this week end.

@johnnie Yeah, I was from Klang and frankly this is my 2nd visit to Chong Kok Kopitiam. My experience with Old Town Kopitiam was quite average in years back, but now their coffee taste was real bad and it feels like there’s no sincerity in serving good food and drinks to us. I have no comment on they hire non-Malaysian to reduce their operation cost, but shouldn’t they think about ways to maintain or improve their quality? Too bad…

You are right, it was cheap breakfast and now I can’t wait to visit those Kopitiam in the week and have nice morning chat with friends and family. Hope to see you there

Ah hong you are from klang too? I am from klang. and had frequent chong kok kopi tiam since I was a teenager. I love the half boil eggs. some kopi tiam who employed outsider, just do not know how to prepare the eggs ,and they dont turn out right not cooked. but here is just right. It is still cheap to have your breakfast compare to those so call kopi tiam.

ah hong, because i like to drink the coffee with the roti bakar. very nice.. sometime the steam bread also nice.. i think u can have a try there..

@jenny you are real fans of classic kopitiam. I never been to Cheong Hoe kopitiam but my house got their coffee powder. Every morning I wake up eat chicken rice and drink their coffee one

klang not only have chong kok kopitiam, also have cheung hoe kopitiam, June kopitiam and pak li kapitiam… these kopitiam’s coffee and roti bakar very nice..:)
